About Our School

Northridge Middle is a neighborhood school proudly serving a diverse population of students since 1996. In 2017, Northridge Middle became a Computer Science and Coding Magnet school that focuses on providing a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) education to our students.  Computer science and coding are offered as elective classes and integrated in everyday instruction. Northridge Middle offers advancement and enrichment through our AVID and AIG programs. Our students are offered a wide variety of arts elective courses that include Band, Dance, Orchestra and Visual and Media Arts. The National Foundation for Governors' Fitness Councils selected Northridge Middle as a DON'T QUIT! Champion School and gifted the school a $100,000 fitness center. Our Makerspace is a hands-on lab where students can learn, create and bring innovation to life with technology and everyday items. Students at Northridge Middle are immersed in learning how to use computational thinking to address everyday challenges.
