Welcome!

Clear Creek Elementary

2022-2023 School Theme: "Sharpening Our Minds for Continued Excellence"

School Mascot: Dragon

Vision: Clear Creek Elementary creates an environment that promotes success for all students by developing the intellectual, social, emotional, and physical attributes of every child.

Mission Statement:  Every child, reading, writing, listening and speaking every day!

As the proud principal of Clear Creek Elementary, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Clear Creek Elementary School for another great year! We are excited to have students back in our classrooms and hallways, filling them with energy and excitement for learning. As a school family, our goal is to make every child feel welcomed, connected, and a special part of Clear Creek Elementary. Additionally, we strive to challenge each student to grow his or her academic abilities. Many exciting opportunities await the Clear Creek Dragons students we feel so honored to serve.

Our school's theme this year is "Sharpening Our Minds for Continued Excellence"  The theme is inspired by our quest to make teaching and learning a rich and robust educational journey that fosters collaboration, critical thinking, communication and creativity. At Clear Creek Elementary, our goals are to build a strong foundation for learning throughout a student's life, as students read, write, listen and speak every day.

Our extraordinary school staff is committed to providing a safe learning environment as we strive to make learning authentic, engaging, and meaningful for all students. As a result, we have worked to build systems of support to meet the diverse academic, and social emotional needs of our students.

Safety Measures at Clear Creek

For students and staff in the building, Clear Creek Elementary adheres to all CMS safety guidelines, in alignment with CDC and North Carolina DPI guidelines. Below is a sample of the actions taken to provide safety measures for all students and staff in the building and is not a comprehensive list.

  1. Regular cleaning throughout the building.
  1. Everyone entering the building is encouraged to wear a mask or face covering.
  • Social distancing markers in hallways, cafeteria, and classrooms to assist students in maintaining appropriate spacing.
  • Students will not be permitted to drink from water fountains. Please send your child to school with a reusable water bottle (labeled with their name) that can be refilled at water fountains throughout the building.

    Connecting with the School

Collaboration between home and school is one important key to student success. As a result, please engage in the following with your child's teacher:
  • Communicate on a regular basis via phone calls, emails, conferences and Class Dojo
  • Provide opportunities to learn about, and become comfortable with, online platforms
  • Create a learning space for your child to work with limited distractions
  • Communicate regularly with the counselor about the social emotional needs of your child
  • Make attendance a PRIORITY

    After-School Enrichment Program (ASEP)

We are pleased to inform you that ASEP is again available at Clear Creek Elementary! After School care is from 2:45-6:00pm. Our ASEP Site Coordinator is Ashley Mason. If you have any questions, please contact the ASEP Central Office at 980-343-5567.

    Clear Creek Family Reminders

  1. Arrival bell is 7:15a.m. The tardy bell is 7:45 a.m. Any family arriving at 7:45a.m or later, parents will have to park and walk the student to the front door to sign in student(s). Instruction begins promptly at 7:45a.m. and students need to be in class before 7:45a.m.

  1. Early student pick up ends at 2:00p.m. No students will be permitted to leave the school building after 2:00p.m. until our official dismissal time at 2:45 p.m. Consistent early pick-ups lead to loss of instructional time that greatly impacts student learning.

  1. All visitors must have a valid I.D., even if school staff know you. Student safety is our top priority.

At this time, visitors are not permitted to enter the building during the instructional day.

  1. Any requests for changes in transportation must be in writing before NOON and must be approved through the front office FIRST.

  1. Please keep the school updated on any phone number, address, or family changes, so that we can best serve and communicate with you in an emergency. Our school phone number is 980-343-6922.

Clear Creek Elementary is an incredible school and I could not be prouder to serve as a leader in such an amazing community. As we navigate the new school year, one thing I know is that when working together we can accomplish anything! We look forward to a year of learning, growth, and fun with our Clear Creek School Family.

                                                                    Go Dragons!

Educationally yours,
