The High School Math department at Northwest School of the Arts, consists of four high school math teachers that teach Foundations of Math 1, NC Math 1, Standard and Honors NC Math 2, Standard and Honors NC Math 3, Standard (including EdReady) and Honors Math 4, Honors Pre-Calculus, AP Statistics, and AP Calculus AB/BC.  Tutoring is offered either before or after school and also online.  

Our math department works to support key college readiness tests such as the PSAT/NMSQT, SAT, and the ACT test by providing after school and weekend math workshops.  Each classroom is equipped with a classroom set of graphing calculators and we encourage use of the online DESMOS graphing calculator available on student’s Chromebooks. Students recognized for their high academic achievement are invited to join our chapter of Mu Alpha Theta, the national mathematics honor society.
