About the Initiative

Now that all students are back in the classroom—excited and ready to learn—we want to provide you with a glimpse into what the student experience looks like in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools.

This school year, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is launching Elevating the Student Experience, a year-long initiative to take a close look at what students experience in our classrooms every day. We will review our instructional resources, how classroom time is spent, and how technology and screen time are used to support learning, all with the goal of strengthening the experience for every CMS student.
