Gem Awards 2024-25

Gregory Gabriel is a fifth grade math teacher at Winterfield Elementary School in Elementary School Performance Area B. He earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial management from Carnegie Mellon University. He also earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in teaching from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Gabriel is a National Board Certified Teacher in early adolescent mathematics.

Freddie Pinkney is an Exceptional Children teacher assistant at Ardrey Kell High School in High School Performance Area B. He earned a bachelor’s degree in educational studies from Grand Canyon University.

Sean Bryant is a physical education teacher at Newell Elementary School in Elementary School Performance Area B. He earned a bachelor’s degree in sports management with a minor in sports ministry from Pfeiffer University, where he is currently in a physical education residency program. He is also a Teach for America corps member.
