Performance Learning Center offers every student the opportunity to take home a Chromebook and sign up for a hotspot (10gB per month.)
Please see Ms. Dover for the Hotspot form (located on the board outside the Learning Commons, B-Hall)
CMS and Sprint 1 Million Project have partnered to provide free wifi hotspots to high school students who do not have sufficient Internet access in their homes. To apply for a device that will provide connectivity for students in their homes, contact J. Blair Dover , technology facilitator.
Conducting research, collaborating on assignments, and communicating with teachers are essential activities for success.

Chromebook at Home TutorialInstructions
- Shut down Chromebook before leaving school
- Connect to your home Wi-Fi
- Log in to the Chromebook
user name: StudentID@student.cms.k12.nc.us
password: your Chrome password - Once you enter the first website, you will encounter the filtering process. Enter the user name: StudentID@cms.k12.nc.us
- Last screen of credentials:
user name: StudentID@cms.k12.nc.us
password: YYYYMMDD (date of birth) - You are ready to use the Chromebook

Lost / Damaged Chromebook FeesFees apply to ALL students using CMS technology, not just "take home" users, All damages should be reported in a timely fashion in order for repairs to be made quickly.
