YET University

YET University is a Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools’ universal nurturing program designed to provide all first-grade students with access to advanced learning experiences. Through engaging critical and creative thinking lessons, growth mindset instruction, and P.E.T.S. (Primary Education Thinking Skills) resources, students build advanced cognitive skills while educators identify and nurture high potential.

As a program of access and opportunity, YET U helps create equitable pathways to challenging learning experiences and supports future gifted identification efforts, laying a strong foundation for CMS’s NEAT framework and advanced coursework opportunities.
