Free Resources Your Student Can Access From Home

Minecraft Education is available to all CMS students to play at home for free. Available only to those within the CMS Microsoft tenant, our students can download and play at home safely, taking advantage of all the educationally-oriented games, self-paced lessons, and challenges available only in Minecraft Edu.

To download Minecraft Edu at home, go to the Minecraft Edu website https://education.minecraft.net/en-us and click download. Choose your device: Windows or Mac. The app is available for iPads and Android devices in their respective stores. Simply download the application to your device and then have your student log in with their CMS credentials. These are the same logins they use to log into their devices at school. Be sure you have their most current password. Once they are in, it’s time to play and learn!

If you have any questions, please email Trish Cloud patricia.cloud@cms.k12.nc.us

Canva and CMS

Our students have access to the Education version of Canva, where they can explore and create videos, images, or infographics. To get to Canva, have your student access and log in to their CMS Launchpad. Locate the Canva icon on the Launchpad, and they will have the world of creativity available in Canva.

CMS Adobe and Access

Our students also have access to Adobe Express. Similar to Canva, Adobe Express offers fun activities in creating animations and exploring all the creative ways students can create. To get to Adobe Express, have your student access and log in to their CMS Launchpad. Locate the Adobe Express icon on the Launchpad, and they will have the world of creativity available in Adobe Express.

If you have questions about Canva or Adobe Express, contact Trish Cloud (patricia.cloud@cms.k12.nc.us) or Dr. DaQuita Pounds (daquital.pounds@cms.k12.nc.us).
