Environmental Health & Stewardship

The EHS Department coordinates district programs and provides guidance to schools and departments in maintaining a safe physical environment, adhering to safety regulations and maintaining required records.

Serves as CMS Liaison for the following agencies:

• Charlotte Fire Department inspection reporting
• Meck County Fire Marshal’s office inspection reporting
• Meck County Health inspection reporting
• Meck County Stormwater inspection reporting
• City of Charlotte insurance reporting for General Liability, Property and Vehicle claims.
• Meck County Emergency Management - Operations Center.
• American Red Cross emergency shelter operations.
• OSHA

Serves as CMS Liaison for the following programs and training.

• Clean Classrooms for Carolina Kids Program - drinkable water taps sampling
• AHERA asbestos management
• School Emergency Responder CPR and First Aid training.
• AED inventory / management
• IAQ assessment
• Energy & Utility management
