How to Request Transportation  

Create a AlphaPortal Account and follow the steps below:

1. Enter district code: 73877
2. Add your student(s) to the account.
3. Download the AlphaPortal app beginning June 10 (iOS and Android) or access it via the secure website.

Alternate Stop Request

Alternate stop requests require review and approval before they become active in the transportation system. 

1. Log in to AlphaPortal.
2. Select your student.
3. Navigate to Transportation Requests.
4. Select Request Alternate Stop.
5. Enter the details of the safety concern and submit the request.

Track a Current Request 

How do I Track Current Requests?

1. Log in to AlphaPortal.
2. Select your student.
3. Navigate to Transportation Requests.
4. Select Track Current Requests.

Status Types: Status applies to Ridership, Unsafe stop request, and ALternate Stop Request 

Submitted: Your request has been submitted.
Pending: Your request is pending an effective date. (Note: when a start date is set, your process is close to completion)
Rejected: The ridership request was reviewed and not approved.
Complete: The ridership request process has been completed and finalized.

Note: Allow 24-48hrs. For processing. Some requests take longer depending on the request.

Unsafe Stop Request

Transportation will review the information provided and assess the reported safety concern. Please ensure all details are included in your request, as this helps our team conduct a thorough review. Families will be contacted if additional information is needed during the evaluation process.

How do I submit an Unsafe Stop Request?

1. Log in to AlphaPortal.
2. Select your student.
3. Navigate to Transportation Requests.
4. Select Report Unsafe Stop.
5. Enter the details of the safety concern and submit the request.

**Unsafe Stop Requests are reviewed by Transportation Services on a case-by-case basis. Processing times may vary depending on the nature of the safety concern and the review required.

Set Live Tracking

AlphaPortal tracks the location of the bus, not the individual student. Families can use Live Bus Tracking to monitor the bus while it is actively operating on its route. 

How to Track the Bus:

1. Log in to AlphaPortal using the mobile app or web browser. Families can access AlphaPortal through either platform. 
2. Select your student's assigned route.
3. Select the Map to view the bus location.
4. Enable Arrival Notifications to receive alerts when the bus is approaching your stop

**Live Bus Tracking is available when the bus is actively serving its route. If the route is not currently in service, tracking information may not be visible.

Set Arrival Notifications

Bus Stop Alerts 

Increase the stop radius setting in AlphaPortal to receive bus stop approaching alerts earlier. 

Steps to Increase the Stop Radius in AlphaPortal

1. Open the AlphaPortal app and sign in.
2. Select your student.
3. Navigate to Settings or Notification Settings.
4. Locate the Stop Radius option.
5. Increase the distance to your preferred radius (meters or miles).
6. Save your changes.

**To receive bus arrival alerts sooner, open the AlphaPortal app and go to Settings > Stop Radius. Increase the radius to the desired distance and save your changes. A larger radius will provide earlier notifications as the bus approaches your student's stop
