VEC DUNN, Executive Director of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools Transportation

Delvico "Vec" Dunn serves as the Executive Director of Transportation for Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, a role he assumed in 2025. With more than 29 years of experience in school bus pupil transportation, he brings a deep understanding of transportation operations and fleet management to the position.

Mr. Dunn began his career in transportation with CMS as a school bus driver, spent eight years with Union County Public Schools, and returned to dedicate 21 years of service to the district — most recently serving as Director of Fleet-Support Services prior to his current appointment.

Mr. Dunn holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Strayer University.
