Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is continuing its work to ensure more equitable and accessible continuous choice pathways districtwide for students --- from kindergarten through high school. The current Draft Plan in Response to the 2024 Comprehensive Review may impact future school assignments, transportation routes, student choice options and the overall educational experience for many families.

No decisions have been made. This proposal represents the beginning of a thoughtful, transparent process. The district is committed to robust community engagement, inviting families, staff and community members to review information, ask questions and share feedback.

Any changes approved through this process would not take effect until the 2027–28 school year, ensuring ample time for planning and preparation.
