LaTresha Wilson, principal at Tuckaseegee Elementary School, will be honored as the 2026 Elementary Principal of the Year by the N.C. Principals and Assistant Principals' Association (NCPAPA) at the group's Fall Instructional Symposium in December. Wilson was a finalist for 2026 Wells Fargo North Carolina Principal of the Year.

Wilson will be NCPAPA's North Carolina nominee at the National Association of Elementary School Principals. She will also join the NCPAPA Board of Directors representing Region 6.
