Exam Exemption Medical Hardship

As you know, students with an A in a course and no more than 1 absence (excused or unexcused) or a B and no more than 3 absences (excused or unexcused) may be eligible for an exam exemption.  Exam exemptions are ONLY for teacher-made exams, not state exams.  If your child had a medical hardship, not just a sick absence, you may submit the Medical Hardship Form for review.  These forms are due to ME no later than close of day May 19th.  I will not accept forms after this time.

Teachers will look at class averages and attendance as of May 23.  If your child is missing work and attempts to submit it after May 23, it will NOT be considered for an exam exemption.  It will be taken by the teacher but will not change exemption status.

If your child is exempt from an exam as of May 23, but then has their grade drop prior to the exam, this will remove the exemption.

The form that needs to be submitted is attached to this message and does require documentation to be attached as well.  Thank you!
