Mr. Kevin Roach is Teacher of the Year!

Kevin Roach is the second grade teacher at Hidden Valley Elementary, in Charlotte, North Carolina.  He has seven years of teaching experience, with six of those years at Hidden Valley Elementary. A migrant from Camden, South Carolina, Mr. Roach received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of South Carolina Aiken and a Master of Arts in Teaching  from Liberty University. He is professionally certified in Elementary Education K-6 , and is currently pursuing his Educational Leadership and Supervision certification from Liberty University.

While concurrently strengthening his scholars and their parents' social and emotional self-esteem, Mr. Roach sets the groundwork for mastery of English, mathematics, science, and social studies. His comprehensive educational approach is centered on having an impact on both his scholars and the community he serves. In order for his students to succeed at the highest levels of modern society, he gives them the educational, emotional, and social freedom they need. Throughout his career, Mr. Roach has taught both second and fifth grades. In order to address the most serious issues facing the globe, he teaches his students skills like teamwork, critical thinking, and problem-solving, since he believes that education is liberty.

Mr. Roach is a recipient of 2020 Atlantic 10 Conference Sponsored by UNCC, UNCC UNC/ The Charlotte 49ers Athletic Department, Conference USA, and the College Football Playoffs : Staff Award.
