The mission of the MPHS Foundation is to enhance the educational experience of Myers Park students by expanding opportunity, addressing unmet needs, and funding innovation. The non-profit organization funds a full time youth development coordinator from Communities in Schools and a graduation coach who both work closely with at-risk students at MPHS each year. The Foundation additionally supports Mustangs Matter, an after-school program that provides academic and enrichment support to students with scholastic, social and / or emotional needs, as well as funds campus visits for students participating in the Foundation's programs.

Tickets for the MPHS Foundation’s signature fundraiser, Art for the Park, will go on sale on January 24, 2025. The event will be held on February 21, 2025 at the BoPlex at Bojangles Coliseum. This event brings MPHS parents, alumni, and staff together to enjoy food and music while bidding on artwork created by students and local artists.
