End of Year Testing Schedule

We have adjusted our end-of-year testing schedule to align with state and district guidelines and ensure all students take our end-of-course required state tests. To help students navigate the testing process, your student will make an individualized test schedule with their courses listed. Please ask them to share a digital copy with you.
Students must bring their school-issued Chromebook (fully charged) and charger to each testing session. Spare devices will not be available. Contact Ms. Bombien, margarets.bombien@cms.k12.nc.us, with any Chromebook issues. Chromebooks will be collected the day of the student’s last exam.

Requests for Changes in Exam Dates will NOT be Honored: The final exam schedule is set, and we will NOT accommodate personal requests. Please do not email teachers, administration, or Tara Doherty.

The Final Day for Students to Submit Work/Assessments: The final day to submit assignments or complete assessments for Quarter 4 is Thursday, May 29. After this date, no late work will be accepted, and no makeup assessments will be administered.

How Exam Exemption will be Determined for 4X4 Classes: Students with a grade of an ‘A’ (90%) or above and no more than 3 excused or unexcused absences AND students with a grade of a ‘B’ (80%) or above with no more than 1 excused or unexcused absence are permitted to exempt an exam when it is not state-required or district-required. Absences will be determined based on the TOTAL as of the end of the day on Thursday, May 29.

How Exam Exemption will be Determined for A/B Day Classes:

5/23 - Blocks 1B and 3B Test - Use attendance as of the end of class on 5/21 for blocks 1B and 3B

5/27 - Blocks 1A and 3A Test - Use attendance as of the end of class on 5/22 for blocks 1A and 3A

5/28 - Blocks 2B and 4B - Use attendance as of the end of class on 5/23 for blocks 2B and 4B

5/29 - Blocks 2A and 4A - Use attendance as of the end of class on 5/27 for blocks 2A and 4A

- How Attendance will be Taken During A/B Day Classes: Attendance will be taken ALL 4 blocks each day as it is taken on any other regular school day.
