Fall MAP Testing

Hello Patriot Family!

This is Dr. Foggie, Proud Principal of Southwest Middle School.  Our scholars will take the English MAP Growth Screener on Tuesday, September 19 and the Math MAP Growth Screener on Wednesday, September 20. The MAP Growth Screener is an adaptive computerized assessment that helps determine a student's instruction level, and measure students; academic growth over the course of the year and from year to year.  MAP Growth data is used to show growth over time and shows students proficiency projections.  Information will also inform instructional decisions.

Please encourage your scholar to do their best on the MAP Growth Screener to give us data on how can support their academic needs. If your scholar completes both screeners on September 19 and 20, and do their best on the test, they will receive a wristband on Thursday, September 21 for "Free-Style Friday" on September 22.  To qualify for Free-Style Friday, your scholar must complete both screeners before Friday.
