This past Tuesday, at West Charlotte High School, the Charlotte Community celebrated Diane A. Oliver's newly released book, Neighbors and Other Stories with best-selling author in attendance, Ms. Tayari Jones.
Diane Oliver is a 1960 Graduate of West Charlotte High School who was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident in 1966, a week before graduating from Thelma University of Iowa's Writer's Workshop. Oliver graduated from West Charlotte High School School in 1960 where she was the editor of the newspaper, Miss Journalism, as well as the recipient of the Civitan award.
