Please review the following updates/changes for the 2023-24 school year and share with
appropriate stakeholders:

Information about AP Exams and Fees

● Students who are enrolled in Advanced Placement Courses are required to take the AP exam for each course in which they are enrolled. Students who do not take the exam are required to take a teacher-made exam that will count towards their final grade.
● Students who are enrolled and do not take the exam, will be charged $40 for late exam orders, exam order cancellation, or unused exams.
● Students eligible for AP Exam Fee Reduction should be checked in the fee reduction column in AP Registration & Ordering.
● All AP Exams will be administered paper/pencil except AP Pilot African American Studies.
● AP Pilot African American Studies Exam will be administered online for both initial exams and makeup exams.
● Students who would like to choose to take a teacher made exam in addition to the AP exam may choose to do so to improve their grade.

AP Coordinators: Send the AP Commitment Form (linked here) home with all students enrolled in an AP course. This form must be completed and signed by the parent/guardian and kept on file for 1 year.
