Attendance Recovery & Tutoring

When you reached 11th absence in any course that's when your recovery begins.

Sessions for recovery are only held after school hours.

It's the student's responsibility to initiate attending Attendance Recovery.

All Attendance recovery times should be cleared by the teacher on the date/time you want to attend.

When you attend the course for recovery, your assigned teacher will fill out Attendance Recovery Form for each session you attend to make up.

The deadline for 1st semester recovery completion and waiver is January 10, 2025.

Reasons for possible waiver application/acceptance include but are not limited to emergent extenuating circumstances such as: death in the family, hospitalization, surgery, MCV, medical 504s, pregnancy.

Students and parents will complete the recovery waiver form and turn that in prior to the end of the affectedSemester. Waiver requests submitted past January 10, 2025, will not be accepted. The forms will be reviewed by the recovery waiver committee.

In deciding whether or not to waive the appeal for attendance recovery, the committee may consider the total number of absences, the amount of recovery completed, and the student's grades on the final exam for the course as well as any other pertinent information.

A student must attempt to make up as much time as possible while waiting on the approval of a waiver.

Attendance at tutoring can be used as part of the waiver process, it is the student's responsibility to keep of any tutoring attended. The student must bring the recovery waiver form to the teacher to sign off on the documented tutoring for it to be considered in the appeal.
