Creative Vibes | Empowering Minds Ep 1.

At University Park Creative Arts School, embracing ways to explore learning with the supplemental assistance of art, music and dance is at the forefront of the faculty's minds. Whether it's reinforcing the ideas of algebra through mimicking body movements or supporting literary growth with artistic projects, the goal is to make learning accessible to all students and their individual learning modalities.

Valerie Loop, the visual arts teacher at this elementary school, uses techniques that help students explore their emotions and their individual voice. It's important to her that her students understand that diversity of perspective makes for a richer life, and that often times there is no right answer. Creative Vibes | Empowering Minds is a new recurring series that will explore Charlotte-Mecklenburg School's diverse arts programs.
