Palisades High student selected for NASA SEES program

Posted on: 5/16/2024

George Taylor, a sophomore at Palisades High, has been selected for the NASA STEM Enhancement in Earth Science (SEES) Summer High School Intern Program. A member of his school's inaugural Students 4 Science club, George also received a scholarship to fly to Texas for this internship.

SEES is a nationally competitive science, technology, engineering and mathematics program for high school students that had 500 applicants this year. The program provides selected students with exposure to earth and space research. Interns learn how to interpret NASA satellite data while working with scientists and engineers in their chosen area of work. This content knowledge, coupled with hands-on experiences, allows the intern to gain experience in authentic NASA research through field investigation and data analysis.
