The following Hopewell High students placed in state competition at the Senior Beta Convention in Greensboro:
- Ava Fish, Bridget Dorgan, Jada Rankin, Jaiden Cook, Natalie Blake and Jia Myrick performed "Ex Wives" from the musical "SIX" and placed third for the state in the Senior Beta division.
- Mackenzie Showers and Roslyn Friday received Premier Performer in the Dancing Duo category. They performed "Eyes on Fire," by Blue Foundation.
- Ash Ritter earned first place in Poetry for the state in the Senior Beta division.
- Bridget Dorgan won the $1,000 National Beta Scholarship.
The Betas now have an opportunity to compete at the National Beta Convention June 22-26 in Orlando, Fla.
