Choice Offerings
- How were the schools chosen as Program Choice schools?
- When students have more than one option for a choice theme in their zone, will they get to choose between them?

- If an older sibling remains at their current magnet school under the grandfathering policy, will younger siblings still receive a sibling guarantee?
- If students get a seat to stay in their current program, will they have to provide their own transportation?
- What happens if a student begins in one pathway (e.g., STEM or IB) but later needs to switch to another?
- Will all zones have access to an equivalent set of magnet themes and advanced coursework opportunities?
- How will CMS ensure that students who discover interests later (arts, languages, advanced academics) still have opportunities in middle and high school?
- What investments are being made to ensure non‑magnet schools also offer strong academic and enrichment opportunities?
- How will CMS prevent enrollment declines in magnet schools that cannot backfill students (e.g., language immersion programs)?
- When there are multiple middle or high schools in a transportation zone’s magnet feeder pathway, will students have a choice which they want to attend or must they follow the outlined feeder pathway?
- How is Cambridge going to be used at Garinger if it is not part of Program Choice? Will it be used completely separately?
- Does the lottery process change in this new proposal? For example, can I still apply to lottery into schools across transportation zones?
- Can you describe the synergistic vision for integrating the LITD and IB frameworks, and provide the Board of Education's presentation for further detail?
- What are the enrollment criteria for attending an IB choice middle school, specifically regarding the LI/TD qualification?

Equity and Access
- With the clustering of magnet programs closer to the center of the county, what implications does this have for equity of access in the programs, especially for students and families who cannot provide their own transportation?
- Will all zones have access to an equivalent set of magnet themes and advanced coursework opportunities?
- Will comprehensive high schools continue providing rigorous options—IB, AP, Cambridge, AVID, CTE, etc.—regardless of magnet status?
- How is the sibling guarantee impacted by the proposed changes?
- If I am currently enrolled in a neighborhood school but my child is LI/TD identified, can I automatically go to an LI/TD/IB magnet school in my transportation zone?
- How does the testing process apply to the LI/TD/IB schools? Is testing required for entry into any of the grade bands for any of the programs?
- What is the rationale behind what feeder schools were selected for Elementary -> Middle -> High?
