Online Registration Process for CMS via Infinite Campus

To complete your student's enrollment in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, parents or guardians must follow the Online Registration process in Infinite Campus.

Enrollment for 2025-2026 is open

The application period for the CMS Pre-K Program (Bright Beginnings and NC Pre-K) will open on December 1st. If you future enroll to participate in the lottery for the CMS Montessori Program and you do not receive a seat, your child's application can be considered for the CMS Pre-K Program as well.

Required Documents

Please have the following documents ready to upload during the registration process:

Certified Birth Certificate
Immunization Records (Must meet North Carolina state requirements)
Proof of Residency

- NOTE: If you are submitting a lease, please ensure you include the signature page, signed by yourself and the property manager.
Last Report Card or Unofficial Transcript (Required for high school students)
Additional Documentation for Pre-K Students (If applicable, submit qualification criteria and supporting documents)

Important Reminders

Be sure to review the list of acceptable proof of residency documents before uploading.
Double-check that your child’s immunization records are current and meet North Carolina state guidelines, which may differ from those in other states or countries.

Uploading Missing Documents

00:00: This training will teach you how to upload missing documents to a registration application efficiently, you will learn to navigate multiple systems and complete the document upload process accurately.

00:11: Navigate to the CMS websit and click Student Planning, Placement & Programs to access the relevant section.

00:19: You'll be taken to the student placement and registration page to continue the registration process.

00:25: Click access the registration portal to open the registration interface.

00:30: Proceed with saved registrations.

00:33: Click return to saved. Registration to retrieve an existing registration.

00:38: Click Next to move forward in the registration application.

00:42: Click Parent/Guardian First Name to enter guardian information

00:47: Click parent, Guardian last name to continue entering. Guardian details.

00:52: Click Date of Birth to input the guardian's birth date

00:55: Click email address to enter the Guardians contact email.

00:59: Click here to continue to the next section of the registration.

01:03: Click no. To indicate the appropriate response for the current question.

01:08: Click confirmation number to enter the registration confirmation details.

01:12: Enter your confirmation number in the provided field.

01:16: Click, please type the letter. You see displayed in the image below to verify. You are not a robot.

01:22: Enter the captcha code displayed in the image to proceed.

01:26: Click begin registration to start the registration submission.

01:30: Click begin to confirm and continue with the registration.

01:34: Click 5 to choose the student section of the enrollment.

01:38: Click edit record to modify the saved registration information.

01:43: Click the Document Upload pleat to start uploading the missing document

01:47: Select click here to upload additional documents to add more files

01:52: Enter the required information in the document upload field to attach files.

01:57: Click save continue to save your progress and proceed to the next step.

02:02: Unread Reds.

02:06: You have completed the process of uploading missing documents through the registration portal by navigating multiple systems and entering required information. Accurately practice these steps to ensure efficient and error-free document submission in your role.
