Student Records and International Admissions

The Student Records and International Admissions department provides student records for former students and facilitates the enrollment process for non-immigrant international students.

Former Student Records Request
Per CMS policy and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), student records are only available to those who have authorization from the student or parent, guardian or responsible person, if the student is less than 18 years of age.
Order Instructions and Fees
- Transcript Fees: $10.00 per order (+$5 convenience fee)
- Cumulative Folder: $40.00 processing fee (+$5 convenience fee)
Processing Time: 10-15 business days for electronic transcripts; up to 4 weeks for warehouse records.
Services Not Provided by CMS
Please be advised that the Student Records department does not facilitate the following requests:
- Diploma Replacements: CMS does not offer a diploma replacement service. Former students in need of proof of graduation can request an official transcript.
- SAT/ACT Test Scores: To obtain your official scores, please contact the test provider directly:

Subpoenas for Student Records
All subpoenas for student records must be directed or served to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education. Service should be made via certified mail to the following address:
