Dear Winget Park Families,

I am excited to serve as Principal of Winget Park Elementary School. I look forward to continuing to work with this great community and building on the relationships that are so important to the progress of our school.

I would like to take a moment to introduce myself to the community.  I grew up in a small town called Corfu, New York.   After attending Buffalo State University to earn a degree in Elementary Education and Spanish, I later received a Master's in Curriculum and Instruction through Winthrop University, and received my Educational Leadership degree from Gardner-Webb University. I have been working with CMS for many years. I began my teaching career down the road at Steele Creek Elementary School. I also taught at Walter G. Byers Pre-k through Eighth Grade School and served as their Math Coach. I was the Math Facilitator at Idlewild Elementary School before going to Lake Wylie as the Intervention Facilitator, and Assistant Principal. In January of 2023, I became the Principal at Winget Park.

My family is also very important to me. My husband, Scott, teaches culinary arts in the Clover School District. We have two children. Balin is in 7th grade and Violetta is in 4th grade. They are the highlight of my day, every day.

I believe that education is the foundation to unlocking our passions.  Students should feel engaged in learning through collaboration, problem solving and developing their personal interests.  I hope throughout this year that I can work with our amazing team to make these beliefs a reality at Winget Park.

I look forward to working with my Wolf family!

It's always a great day to have a great day! Go Wolves!
