Greetings Tuckaseegee Elementary Families,

Tuckaseegee Elementary is a place like no other.  I know this to be true because I was once a teacher and a facilitator there.  As the best kept secret just a short drive from the uptown area and nestled in the western corridor of Charlotte, we are an elementary school serving Kindergarten through 5th grade students.  Tuckaseegee is bursting with courageous and resilient boys and girls and commissioned and committed men and women who together are committing to engage in work each and every day that empowers our students and pushes them beyond limits that they even knew were possible for themselves.  While I certainly have a bullseye focus on ensuring that our students are well-versed and exceed proficiency in the intricacies of reading, writing, speaking, mathematics and the social and natural sciences, I have my gaze fixed on ensuring that we equip our school community with the information, opportunities and advocacy that we all need to identify, cultivate and lift our leadership voices as we shape the lives of our strong children that will change the world. 

I am proud of the diversity and the rich heritage of our school community and we know that this will indeed serve us well as we aim to move each of our most worthy students along their individualized life's path.  At Tuckaseegee, we believe in the gift of "the moment," and we realize the honor that we have to serve each and every student, parent, neighbor, friend and community partner that crosses our paths. We are poised and ready for the powerful work and journey that lies ahead of us as we know that we are not simply educators, students, parents and partners.  In fact we are warriors, champions and heroes just primed and ready to launch.  At Tuckaseegee our mission is to not only shift the narrative, but to cause a revolution that brings about change... not just change for the good, not just change for the better... but change for the best because better is no longer good enough. 

As we close out the 2022-2023 School Year at Tuckaseegee Elementary School, know that "we are inspired to inspire because the inspired have inspired us." As your Proud Principal, I am charged to make sure that your child is safe, having fun and learning at HIGH levels. Please let me know if we are not meeting the mark. We look forward to serving you this year and are excited and ready for all of the great things that will happen this year and for many years to come.

Saludos familias de la escuela primaria Tuckaseegee,

La Escuela Primaria Tuckaseegee es un lugar como ningún otro. Sé que esto es cierto porque una vez fui maestra y facilitadora allí. Como el secreto mejor guardado a poca distancia en auto del área residencial y ubicado en el corredor occidental de Charlotte, somos una escuela primaria que atiende a estudiantes de jardín de infantes a quinto grado. Tuckaseegee está repleto de niños y niñas valientes y resistentes, y de hombres y mujeres comisionados y comprometidos que juntos se comprometen a trabajar todos los días para empoderar a nuestros estudiantes y empujarlos más allá de los límites que incluso sabían que eran posibles para ellos. Si bien ciertamente tengo un objetivo claro en asegurar que nuestros estudiantes estén bien versados y superen el dominio de las complejidades de la lectura, la escritura, el habla, las matemáticas y las ciencias sociales y naturales, tengo la mirada fija en asegurar que equipemos a nuestra comunidad escolar con la información, las oportunidades y la defensa que todos necesitamos para identificar, cultivar y elevar nuestras voces de liderazgo a medida que damos forma a las vidas de nuestros niños fuertes que cambiarán el mundo.

Estoy orgullosa de la diversidad y la rica herencia de nuestra comunidad escolar y sabemos que esto nos será de gran utilidad, ya que nuestro objetivo es llevar a cada uno de nuestros estudiantes más valiosos a lo largo del camino de su vida individualizada. En Tuckaseegee, creemos en el regalo del "momento" y nos damos cuenta del honor que tenemos de servir a todos y cada uno de los estudiantes, padres, vecinos, amigos y socios comunitarios que se cruzan en nuestro camino. Estamos preparados y listos para el poderoso trabajo y el viaje que tenemos por delante, ya que sabemos que no somos simplemente educadores, estudiantes, padres y socios. De hecho, somos guerreros, campeones y héroes recién preparados y listos para el lanzamiento. En Tuckaseegee, nuestra misión es no solo cambiar la narrativa, sino provocar una revolución que genere cambios... no solo cambiar para bien, no solo cambiar para mejorar... sino cambiar para mejor porque lo mejor ya no es suficientemente bueno.

Al cerrar el año escolar 2022-2023 en la Escuela Primaria Tuckaseegee, sepa que "estamos inspirados para inspirar porque los inspirados nos han inspirado". Como su orgullosa directora, estoy a cargo de asegurarme de que su hijo esté seguro, se divierta y aprenda a niveles ALTOS. Por favor, hágamelo saber si no estamos cumpliendo con la marca. Esperamos poder servirle este año y estamos emocionados y listos para todas las grandes cosas que sucederán este año y por muchos años por venir.
