Dear Lebanon Road Elementary families,

Lebanon Road opened in 1989 as a neighborhood school in Mint Hill. We serve approximately 515 students, making us one of the smallest CMS schools in the area. We are committed to our vision of Success for All.

Our Lebanon Leopards are an amazing group dedicated to the growth and success of our students. We are a Capturing Kids Hearts school, and we are committed to building strong relationships with students and our community. Our school works to ensure all students get what they need daily through focused small group instruction and strategic staffing models. It takes many hands to ensure everyone gets what they need.

This is my fifth year as the proud principal of Lebanon Road Elementary. Students at Lebanon Road have opportunities to take part in amazing experiences. We have ongoing partnership with Greater Goals soccer and literacy after-school programming which is provided free of cost to students. We have an after-school chorus club and Math Olympiad. Our Students in the Extensions program participate yearly in local Special Olympics with peer partners in fourth and fifth grade. We host the Charlotte Hornets and Hugo’s Book Bus yearly as well as an NFL 360 Experience for our 2nd-5th graders.

On a personal note, I am a wife and a mother. We are proud Michigan sports fans! Like many in Charlotte, I am a transplant to this state. I grew up in Michigan, and I attended the University of Michigan where I earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. I have additional licensure and degrees from UNC-Charlotte and Harvard Graduate School of Education. I have taught grades 7-12 in CMS and Washington, DC, and I have been a school leader at every level elementary through high school.

I look forward to getting to know you and your families as well. Thank you for choosing CMS and Lebanon Road Elementary for your child!
