Ms. Reid

Ms. Reid has served as the assistant principal at Berryhill School since 2018.  She has served 27 years as an educator.  Prior to her assignment at Berryhill, Ms. Reid served as an assistant principal and Dean of Students at Sedgefield Elementary.  Prior to Sedgefield, Ms. Reid served in various instructional capacities at Smithfield Elementary, such as kindergarten and first grade teacher, reading teacher, and math facilitator.

A graduate of South Carolina State University in Orangeburg, South Carolina, she earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Home Economics and Early Childhood Education.  Additionally, Ms. Reid completed graduate studies at Queens University to earn her Elementary Education Certification and Master's Degree of Reading Education from Winthrop University.  She continued her pursuit of learning, by earning an Educational Specialist Degree in School Administration and Supervision from Cambridge University in Boston, Massachusetts.

As a professional educator with Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools, Ms. Reid values and understands the importance of parental support and community involvement in a student's life. Ms. Reid firmly believes that children receive the best education possible when the school and home work together as a team. It is her desire for all children to be treated fairly and with respect.  She passionately works with teachers, parents, and community leaders to teach, encourage, and mold students into responsible citizens of tomorrow.
