Long Creek Elementary - A Creative Arts Magnet

Welcome to Long Creek Elementary School! We are a creative arts magnet in Huntersville, NC. The dates for the 2023-2024 magnet lottery are as follows: 

• New student enrollment period for the lottery: September 12 - November 13, 2023
• Magnet fair: October 14, 2023
• Magnet lottery: November 27 – December 29, 2023
• Lottery notification letters: Final Week of January, 2024

The next opportunity for families to try for a seat at a magnet school with space is through participation in the reassignment/transfer process. This process is handled by Student Placement, and it opens February 1st. The list of schools with space and the link to apply will be housed at www.cmschoice.org starting February 1st. These requests ARE processed in a first come, first serve basis. The deadline for families to apply and receive a result before the 2024-2025 school year starts is July 15th (June 30th for early and middle college programs).
