Ridge Road Families,

I am honored to be named the new principal of Ridge Road Middle School.  I am excited for the opportunity to walk the building and meet with staff to gain a better understanding of the Ridge Road experience.  I also have spoken with the former principal to build a working knowledge of the school.   I have already started my listening and learning tour by engaging with stakeholders about the strengths and opportunities that Ridge Road presents.  In the coming weeks I plan to dedicate specific blocks of time to meet with teachers, staff, parents and community partners.  I also plan to meet with students to gain their insight into what makes Ridge Road a special place.  

It is one of my goals to continue to get to know the staff, students, parents and community partners so that we can establish trusting and productive relationships that will support our work in achieving our school goals.  In order for me to better understand your beliefs, goals and hopes; I have developed an Entry Plan that will guide my first months at Ridge Road.  It is my goal to learn about our school through your perspective.  Your insight and beliefs will help me in identifying the core beliefs of our school community so that we can collectively build on the vision and mission of the school.  Your feedback and participation will be a valuable way for us to work as a team that will provide the best education for all of our students.  This plan details my action steps for getting to know the school.  It includes interviews, and meetings with our key stakeholders.  I will be meeting with team instructional leaders, grade levels, support staff, parents, students and community partners.  All meetings and information shared will be held in confidence but will help me in determining the path for the future vision of our school.  As we begin this process, my hope is that you can establish trust in me so that we can work collaboratively as a team to make continuous improvements at Ridge Road Middle School.
