Along with all other CMS schools, we follow the EL Curriculum for literacy core instruction and the EnVisions curriculum for math core instruction. Al literacy teachers are trained in LETRS, making them highly effective in understanding the science of reading and how this impacts student developoment. We also have many teachers trained in Orton Gillingham, which is used as a literacy intervention. We have dedicated teacher assistants who work with small groups in K-2, a reading interventionists, literacy and math coaches who work with students in need of additional support. We are proud to partner with the Augustine Literacy Project and Heart Math Tutoring, who both provide in-school tutoring, to continue to reach the needs of all of our students. At ETES, we work hard to make learning fun and pride ourselves in centering student engagement!
