• Each ribbon category is carefully chosen by the Academic Recognition Committee to represent, reward, and inspire important achievements and learning behaviors which lead to student success. 

     PERSONAL GROWTH: The WHITE ribbon. (K-5) This ribbon is earned by students who have shown outstanding GROWTH throughout the semester. These are students who have persevered to achieve new levels of learning, and experienced breakthroughs. They may not be on the honor roll, but their growth is significant and deserves recognition. 
     
     READING AWARD: The LIGHT BLUE ribbon (K only) This ribbon is a special ribbon earned by Kindergarten students for reading at home each night for at least 20 minutes with a parent as part of the FRED program; Families Read Every Day 
     
     PERSONAL SUCCESS: The PURPLE ribbon (K – 5) The PERSONAL SUCCESS RIBBON comes from our 5 special area teachers: art, music, P.E., media, and technology. Each homeroom class will only have 5 students wearing a purple ribbon. Students earn this ribbon because of creativity, hard work and skill in a special area class.
     
     PROUD PONY RIBBON: the BURGANDY RIBBON (K – 3) Each grade level K – 5th decides how their grade level can earn the proud pony ribbon. It is usually based on outstanding participation in an extended unit, project or event.
     
     A/B HONOR ROLL: The RED ribbon (3 – 5 ) A/B HONOR ROLL is earned by students achieving A’s and B’s in all subject areas for the entire semester. 
     
     A HONOR ROLL: The Red Honor Roll Pin (3 – 5) A HONOR ROLL is earned by students achieving A’s in all subject areas for the entire semester.
     
     OUTSTANDING ATTENDANCE (2nd semester only): (K – 5) This ribbon is earned by students who have only missed school 3 or fewer times this entire year. “Missing School” includes tardies, absences, or leaving early for any reason (excused or unexcused). 
     
     PERFECT ATTENDANCE (2nd semester only): (K – 5) This ribbon is earned by students who have NOT missed any school this year. “Missing School” includes tardies, absences, or leaving early for any reason (excused or unexcused).
