Final Exams/Semester 1

From Thursday, January 18 - Wednesday, January 24, our school will administer the North Carolina EOC exams in NC Math 1, NC Math 3, English II, and Biology. All students enrolled in a semester-long EOC course (NC Math 1, NC Math 3, English II, Biology) are expected to take their EOC exam within this testing window, as required by federal and state laws. CTE and teacher-made exams will be given during this time, as well. Testing will begin promptly at 7:15am each morning and students will be dismissed at 12:30pm, daily.   

Please make every effort to have your child at school on time on days that these tests are being administered, so that we may begin testing promptly in the morning. Encourage your child to be relaxed, rather than to encourage additional drill or extra study at the last minute. Plenty of sleep and a good breakfast before testing are helpful since alert students perform better. Your child will need to bring two No. 2 pencils to school.

Testing Schedule & Logistics

• 7:15am-12:30pm, 1/18-1/24

• All testing days are early release days and we will dismiss at 12:30pm

• Grab-and-go lunch for students at dismissal

Thursday, January 18 – 1st period  *Last day for students to submit Q2 assignments/attendance recovery hours/appeals

Friday, January 19 – 2nd period

Monday, January 22 – 3rd period

Tuesday, January 23 – 4th period

Wednesday, January 24 – Make ups

Thursday, January 25 – Teacher workday

Friday, January 26 – First day of second semester

• Students must have a CMS device to test and loaners are not available.

  • Students should see Mr. Brenyo during 3rd block for a CMS device. Fee waiver forms are available in the main office, if needed.
