8th Grade Moving On Ceremony

Greetings Northridge 8th Grade Families:

We are pleased to announce the 8th grade “Moving On” ceremony! The ceremony will take place on Friday, June 7, 2023. It is a celebration for students who are passing the 8th grade and moving on to high school. The ceremony and issuing of certificates will take place at Rocky River High School, 10505 Clear Creek Commerce Dr. Mint Hill, NC 28227 at 10:00 A.M. Each family will receive TWO tickets; these tickets will be given to students on Monday, June 3rd, 2024 during homeroom. All guests MUST have a ticket to attend the event. The scholar will not need their own ticket to participate. Please be advised: No additional tickets will be available.

Scholars should report DIRECTLY to Rocky River High School with their parents/guardians on June 7th at 9:00 A.M to prepare for the ceremony. If needed, alternative transportation will be provided from and back to the school. After the ceremony, scholars are welcome to go home with their parents or guardians. Scholars should wear business casual attire (NO JEANS, SNEAKERS, or CROCS!).

We are also thrilled to invite our 8th grade scholars to an 8th grade social in the evening of May 31st. The social will be from 6:00-8:30 pm and will feature a DJ, photo booth, dinner, favors, and even more memories. Scholars need to meet certain requirements in order to attend the dance.

No OSS Assignments from April 9th- May 31st
No more than 1 IC Assignment from April 9th-May 31st
No F’s by EOG’s- May 24th
No more than 3 Unexcused Absences from April 9th- May 31st
Cost $20- Payments made through school website- Online Sales Portal
