I am both excited and honored to serve as the principal at Northeast.  I have been in CMS for 20 years, with 16 years of those being at the middle school level.  I was a 6th grade teacher for 14 years, an instructional coach for a year at the middle school level, an 8th grade Dean of Students for 1 year, and then an Assistant Principal for the last 4 and a half years at the high school level.

I grew up in Fairmont, WV, and both of my parents were in education.  I am the youngest of three girls, and my family all still live in different areas in the state.  I attended West Virginia University, where I majored in Elementary Education K - 8 with a specialization in middle grades language arts.  I got my Masters Degree in Educational Leadership from Winthrop University. In my free time, I love to spend time with friends and family, watch sports (I am a huge WVU football fan and a Chicago Cubs fan), and my most favorite thing to do is to hang out with my nephews, Adam and Nathaniel.  I love animals and have two cats, Hallie and Zoey.

I believe that everything we do every day is about people, and it is extremely important that we treat others with kindness and respect.  Building positive relationships with students, staff, and the community is essential for our success as a school. When students know that we genuinely care, I believe there is no limit to what they can accomplish.

I am looking forward to meeting the Eagle community and grateful to be a part of the Eagle family!
