Dear Westerly Hills Family,

As the principal of Westerly Hills Academy, I want to express what an honor and privilege it is to have the opportunity to serve such an awesome school community. I look forward to partnering with our scholars, parents, community members, and our staff. I also look forward to fostering a strong sense of Eagle Pride in order to increase scholars' academic achievement and social-emotional growth. By working together, I know we can prove that Westerly Hills Academy is a school in which every child is provided access to an equitable education and is challenged with a rigorous educational program that will maximize their greatness.

 Let me tell you a little about me. I have over 23 years of experience in education. Most of those years have been serving scholars and families within the Charlotte-Mecklenburg School community. I started my career as a teacher at Spaugh Middle School. I then spent two years as an assistant principal in Rowan-Salisbury. I served as the assistant principal right here at the ONE and ONLY Westerly Hills Academy for several years. I have also served as an assistant principal at Morehead STEM K-8 Academy and David Cox Road Elementary. I earned a bachelor's degree at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a master's degree at Gardner-Webb University.

I am excited to serve at Westerly Hills Academy. Together, I am confident that we will propel our scholars to soar to even greater heights! As a passionate educator, I genuinely believe that ALL students can and will learn in a safe, nurturing, and caring environment that is student-centered and conducive to high achievement.
