Our principal is Ms. Jessica Savage. Ms. Savage brings over 18 years of education experience in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. She graduated with her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Michigan with two Master's Degrees in Curriculum and Instruction and Educational Leadership from Winthrop University. She began her teaching career as a high school math teacher. She moved to Charlotte, North Carolina where she worked at several high schools in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. She has administrative success as a Math Specialist, Dean of Students, and Assistant Principal. Savage previously led Whitewater Middle School to one of the top growth scores in North Carolina, earning statewide recognition as Middle School Principal of the Year in 2024–2025. 

Ms. Savage believes that schools thrive when all stakeholders—students, families, educators, and the community—work together toward a common vision. She is especially passionate about using data to inform instruction, expanding access to opportunity, and ensuring every student feels known, seen, and valued.
