Principal Pecarro

Dana Pecarro was named the Proud Principal of JH Gunn Elementary School in November 2022.  Previously, Ms. Pecarro served as the Assistant Principal and Dean of Students at Highland Renaissance Academy, and the Literacy Facilitator at Huntingtowne Farms.  Ms. Pecarro was also a 4th-grade teacher, ESL teacher, and Reading Specialist in Florida.   Ms. Pecarro earned a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Miami University and a master's in Reading Education from the University of South Florida.  Her administrative license was earned at Wingate University.

I am so excited and thrilled to join the JH Gunn family.  This school has an amazing history, students, and staff. I look forward to our partnership and the relationships we will be building.  Our students are my top priority and I am thrilled to be part of the wonderful things that the JH Gunn school community is on its way to accomplishing!
