Y Readers - YMCA of Greater Charlotte

Y Readers is a nationally recognized literacy program through the YMCA of Greater Charlotte.  The mission of Y Readers is to provide the additional support that students need to be proficient in reading by the end of third grade. This is accomplished through a focus on improving students' literacy skills and self-confidence in the classroom.  At Nations Ford Elementary, we currently have 40 second grade students working hard after school on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays to get ready for third grade.
