A Message from Principal Saxton
At Highland Creek, we do some wonderful things. I would like to thank our faculty and staff for making our school the best. We are focusing this year on growing our brains. During a recent assembly, students learned that their brain is a muscle and that we could make it grow and get smarter if we wanted it to. This is part of a school-wide initiative to instill in students a growth mindset; meaning, we help students focus on getting better and better over time, regardless of where they start academically. Students learned they can grow their brains by doing a few key things:
-
Setting goals
-
Taking an academic risk by taking on academic challenges and using mistakes as opportunities to learn
-
Asking questions
