This letter notifies parents that Pinewood Elementary has been designated as a Targeted Support & Improvement Additional Targeted Support (TSI-AT) school by the North Carolina State Board of Education.

In the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools, we believe in the importance of families and schools working together. We believe that students do their best through the teamwork of students, families, and educators. This friendly agreement lists the ways we all can contribute to the success of every student.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education adopts the following policy as its Title I Parent and Family Engagement Plan.

At Pinewood, we are committed to collaborating with the families of ou students in order to provide students with support they need for success. The Pinewood Title I School wide Program encourages each parent to be actively involved in their child’s education and provides opportunities for parents to be involved. Our Parental Involvement Policy outlines the parent involvement activities that will be conducted during the
school year.

The federal Every Student Succeeds Act requires school districts to notify parents of children attending a Title I school of their right to know the professional qualifications of the classroom teachers who instruct
their child.
