Palisades High School’s Inaugural Graduating Class

In August of 2022, Palisades High School welcomed its first year of students. Planned within a 2017 Bond Referendum, the school was built to provide relief to some overcrowded schools.

Students came from various other schools, including Olympic, Harding University, and South Mecklenburg High, and were faced with transitioning to a brand new school without a predefined dynamic or culture. The school was a blank slate to them!

Many of these students began the work of implementing student clubs, wellness and support groups, and student-leadership foundational relationships. Now two years later, these students are the first to graduate from Palisades High and, thinking back over their hard work, they have high hopes for the future classes who will follow in their footsteps.
