Dress Code Policy

  • Dress Code Violation Consequences

    All Randolph students must comply with the dress code on a daily basis and may only attend class when in compliance with the dress code. 

    • Clothing must completely cover all undergarments, cleavage, midsection and sides of the body. 

    • Pants/shorts/skirts must be worn at the natural waist line and be securely fastened. Skirts, shorts, and dresses should be reasonable in length, using fist length as a guideline. (Fist length: The place on the thigh where an individual’s fist comes to a rest when standing with arms relaxed by their side.) 

    • Leggings must not be sheer or see-through and are only permitted if worn with a top that extends below the bottom. 

    • Shoes must be worn at all times. Slides are NOT permitted. 

    • No abusive, suggestive or profane language, symbols of illegal drugs, or any other words, symbols or slogans on clothing or jewelry that disrupt the learning environment. 

    • Holes in pants can be no higher than fist length (see rule for shorts above). Holes in shirts cannot show cleavage, skin on the midsection/sides or undergarments.  

    • Pajama pants, bedroom slippers, “Scrubs”, or other loungewear is not permitted.

    • No hats of any kind, “doo” rags, sweatbands, bandanas or headgear such as sunglasses are to be worn inside the building. Wearable technology is only acceptable with teacher permission in that classroom. Headgear worn for religious reasons is permitted. 

    • Halters, strapless shirts and “spaghetti straps” are not permitted.

    First Offense: verbal warning with copy of dress code policy provided; students will call home for appropriate clothes or wear what is provided by the school.

    Second Offense: written warning for students to take home to parent for signature; students will call home for appropriate clothes or wear what is provided by the school.

    Third Offense: BMT/Administrator phone conference with parent; parent will be asked to bring appropriate clothes for student or wear what is provided by the school.

    Fourth + Offense: phone call home; ISS for violation of Rule 7: Insubordination


    If you cannot get clothes delivered to school OR refuse to wear the clothes provided by the school, students will be considered in violation of Rule 7: Insubordination with ISS as the consequence.
