Here is some brief information about fall athletics:Online Registration:
All forms are now digital. All forms MUST be completed and submitted digitally to try-out. To register for sports you must use (Dragonfly) click HERE to fill out paperwork. Please choose ALL the sports that you think your child will play this year so that you will have to fill the forms out one time. All forms must be completed online, apart from the physical/examination form. The physical exam form must be given to your doctor to complete. Once the doctor has completed the form, you may hand delivery, fax, or email to Athletic Director (Derwin Calhoun) before registration closes on Aug. 28th.
The following sports will be offered in the Fall: Football, Volleyball, and Cheer.
Physical:
Sports physicals are $25 at Fastmed. Please go to their website to register.
Summer Workouts:
Voluntary Summer workouts will begin for Football, Volleyball, And Cheer will start on Aug.21-23rd 4:30-6 PM. Workouts are optional. Must have physicals turned in before students can workout.
Try-Outs:
Tryouts will be a minimum of 2 days and are held after school Monday, August,28th. Pickup for your student will be at 6:00 P.M. each day in the gym parking lot in the back of the school. Tryouts are for 7th and 8th Grade students only. 8th Grade students must have a 2.0 GPA to participate.
What to Bring to Try-Outs:
A white t-shirt, sneakers, or cleats, and sport specific equipment.
How will my student know if they made the team:
Students that make the team will be posted on ParentSquare.
Parent Meeting:
Once the team roster is final, we will host a parents' meeting. The required fall sports parent night will be on Thursday, August,31st in the school cafeteria at 6 P.M. Atleast one parent per household is required to attend.
