SECURITY ASSOCIATES

The CMSPD security associates are non-sworn personnel and unarmed CMS personnel who provide a safe and secure environment for students, staff and visitors by monitoring and patrolling all activities on a school campus and administrative sites.  Security associates are assigned to all K-8, middle and high schools. They also provide additional security at morning and afternoon bus shuttle stops and after-school and athletic events. There are approximately 168 security associates assigned to a school throughout Mecklenburg County.
