  • Vision and Mission

    The Beginning Teacher Development & Support team is dedicated to supporting the unique needs of teachers in their first three years of experience, and their mentors. Our goal is to ensure we assist in retaining talent in the teaching profession and provide teachers with the tools necessary to achieve proficiency or above ratings on the standards measured on the North Carolina Teacher Evaluation Rubric. 

    Beginning Teachers in North Carolina participate in the Beginning Teacher Support Program (BTSP), and in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools we provide specific support to our Beginning Teachers (BTs), as well as their mentors and school leaders.
