Earn your North Carolina teaching license with the CMS Teaching Residency program. This innovative program combines personalized school support, professional development, and flexible online learning to help you succeed as a teacher.
With the stability of a full-time teaching job and the support of a cohort of like-minded peers, you'll gain hands-on experience while working toward your Initial Professional License. The program is intensive but designed to empower you with the tools, skills, and community support needed to create a lasting impact in the classroom. Join the CMS Teaching Residency to kickstart your teaching career and inspire academic excellence in your students.
CMS Teaching Residency is a North Carolina State Board of Education-approved, Educator Preparation Program (EPP).

Beginning Teacher Development and Support
CMS has an active department dedicated to the unique needs of teachers in their first three years of practice, their mentors, and their school leaders. Our goal is to ensure those beginning teachers and their students grow and are proficient in their practices.
